"The Original" Dressing & Marinade
At-the-Plate has humble beginnings dating back over 100 years. The grandmother of Bill Dieterich created this unique recipe which has been a family secret for decades. Over the past few years Bill’s wife, Catherine, has been making and bottling up this dressing to share with friends and family. Now the Dieterich family brings this incredible dressing and marinade to you bottled as ‘At-the-Plate’ Original. How the baseball theme came to be is another story!
A good friend of Bill’s and a well known figure in the world of Major League Baseball, Tony La Russa, provided the inspiration behind the marketing of this dressing. Over breakfast one morning Bill and Tony got to talking and an idea was born. Scribbled out on a napkin, proceeds from the sales of the ‘At-the-Plate’ products will become an additional revenue source for both Bill and Tony to continue supporting the charities close to their hearts. Tony provides shelter and care for rescued animals through his Animal Rescue Foundation, while the Dieterich family have long been supporters of various children’s and youth sports programs.
